About Finley Smith

Hi there!

My name is Finley Smith, and I’m a professional musician and private music instructor based in Bend, Oregon. I’ve spent the last decade helping students of all ages and levels discover the joy of music and grow into confident, expressive players.

I am an experienced music educator with a passion for woodwinds and strings. I have had the privilege of working with over 50-60 students through personalized, one-on-one instruction. I have also taught in local middle and high schools, as well as community music organizations.

I believe that learning music should be both structured and inspiring. My approach focuses on building a strong technical foundation while encouraging creativity, self-expression, and a lifelong appreciation for music. My goal is to create a positive, supportive learning environment where students feel motivated and confident to grow.
